MailVeil — Email Alias Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using MailVeil ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

MailVeil provides email alias services that allow users to create and manage email forwarding aliases authenticated via Nostr.

3. Eligibility and Geographic Restrictions

THE SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE TO RESIDENTS OF THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA (EEA).

By using this Service, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are not a resident of any EEA member state
  • You are not located within the EEA at the time of purchase
  • You are not purchasing on behalf of an EEA resident

    • Purchasing or subscribing to the Service from within the EEA, or while being an EEA resident, constitutes a material breach of these Terms. In such cases:

  • Your account may be terminated immediately without refund
  • Access to the Service may be revoked
  • We reserve the right to pursue any available remedies

    • 4. User Accounts

    4.1 Authentication

    The Service uses Nostr protocol (NIP-07) for authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Nostr private key.

    4.2 Account Responsibility

    You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.

    5. Service Tiers

    5.1 Free Tier

  • Limited to 5 randomly-generated aliases
  • Basic forwarding functionality

    • 5.2 Pro Tier

  • Up to 1,000 aliases
  • Custom alias names
  • Additional features as introduced

    • 6. Payments

    6.1 Pricing

    Pro subscriptions are priced at 25,000 satoshis per year (approximately £12), payable via Bitcoin Lightning Network.

    6.2 Refunds

    Due to the nature of cryptocurrency payments and digital services, all sales are final. No refunds will be issued except at our sole discretion.

    7. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Send spam or unsolicited communications
  • Engage in illegal activities
  • Violate intellectual property rights
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Distribute malware or malicious content
  • Circumvent geographic restrictions on the Service

    • 8. Service Availability

    The Service is provided "as is" without guarantees of uptime or availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time.

    9. Limitation of Liability

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • The Service is provided without warranty of any kind
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim

    • 10. Termination

    We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without notice, for any breach of these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your aliases will stop forwarding
  • Your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy

    • 11. Governing Law

    These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

    12. Changes to Terms

    We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
